Six Months

Where, oh where, has time gone?  It seems like just yesterday I found out I was having TWO babies at once!  This past Friday, the 20th, the twins had their six month appointment.  Here is a little bit about them...

Campbelle Rose - 

Your name is Campbelle Rose,

You have a tiny nose.

You have reddish hair, 

But do not care.

Your name is Campbelle Rose.

You have BIG blue eyes, 

And tiny thighs.

Your name is Campbelle Rose.

Our little Poppy Seed absolutely loves when we chant this 'song' to her.  She gets the BIGGEST smile I have ever seen.  Whenever she smiles she lights up the room, probably because those amazing smiles are so few and far between.  

She currently weighs 10lbs4oz, which is still very petite.  But, she's growing steadily.  She wears 0-3 month clothes and size 1 diapers, and I can actually put her into some of her 3 month clothes without her looking like she's wearing a moo-moo.  She still has the biggest, bluest eyes I've ever seen. 

 She is now taking around 5-6 ounces {Neocate} at a time (though it definitely varies) and seems to be doing better now that she's on reflux medicine.  Her bottom two teeth are cutting, and she's been given the green light to start veggies - it's strange having a kid that needs purée's, since Charleigh cut teeth so early!  I will definitely be starting the homemade baby food this weekend.

Campbelle is our awesome sleeper - sleeps ALL NIGHT LONG.  Most days she spends wide awake, taking everything in, but as long as she sleeps at night I'm okay with that.  She loves 'talking' to her twin brother and watching her big sister play.  She is also very much a Mommy's girl, and loves to cuddle.

Coleson - 

Sorry, buddy, we don't have a song for you.  You can be very whiny but are the sweetest, most personable boy in the world.  (And, most handsome). Everybody you meet absolutely loves you.  You are quite the ham, and a social butterfly like your 'giant' sister, Charleigh.

He currently weighs 12lbs5oz, keeping the two pound difference going strong. For a 6-month old he's still tiny, but that's to be expected. (Being a preemie with all the tummy issues.  And, apparently, we just have tiny kids). He wears 0-3 month or 3 month clothes (can even wear some 3-6 month Jammie's) and is getting ready to move into size 2 diapers.

Little Man takes around 6 ounces at a time, but again, that depends on his mood and tummy.  His tummy is pretty much exactly like Charleigh's as an infant, as he's on Neocate formula and strong reflux medicine.  He appears to be doing better, and not having as frequent reflux episodes, but he's definitely our Sir Pukey Pants.  Just like his twin sister, his bottom two teeth are cutting so he will also be getting homemade baby food next week when we finally start solids.

Coleson is our cat-napper.  Like me, he loves his naps.  He sleeps well at night, but tends to get restless.  Coleson likes watching his sisters and absolutely adores his cats & dogs.  He is also a cuddle bug, though not quite as picky about who he cuddles with.

Both babies have weight checks next month, and we are hoping that we can finally be released from those timely appointments.  The fact that they are six months old now still absolutely floors me.

I cannot wait to watch them grow up, though I wish time would slow down just a little...
