Happy HALF Birthday, Charleigh.
Six months already. Time is truly flying by.
There are fleeting moments where I miss my tiny newborn Charleigh, but I'm truly loving every minute now that she's older. It's so fun to interact with her and watch her change every day. And, there's nothing better than that precious smile she flashes my way...
Age: 6 months
Weight: 12 pounds 6 ounces (finally on the charts in the first percentile)
Sleeping: Charleigh usually sleeps a good 12 hours every night, which means she's not a very good napper. When she does nap, it mostly cat naps.
Eating: Charleigh is still taking between 4-6 ounces every 3-4 hours. Because she doesn't eat much (and throws it up if she eats too much) we are now super concentrating her formula to increase her caloric intake. She gets a bowl of hypoallergenic brown rice cereal for dinner and we've been given the green light to start veggies - because of Thanksgiving we started her with sweet potatoes and she absolutely loves them. {side note - because of her allergies I've decided to make my own baby food for her, to reduce contamination by allergens}
Favorite food: Neocate formula, hypoallergenic brown rice cereal (laced with her nightly tummy meds) and sweet potatoes.
Likes: Music, car rides, when mommy sings, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Doc McStuffins.
Dislikes: not being the center of attention!
Favorite Things: Cappy, Willie, her Lambie, a minky love we found at Hobby Lobby and her jumperoo.
Making Mom & Dad Smile: not going to lie, she's damn good at this. She's particularly good at doing so after throwing a huge fit. Just the way she looks at us melts our heart....
