Here we go again!!!

It's official....we're building another house! :-)  After exploring all the areas in the Houston Metro Area, we decided on  the Missouri City/Sugar Land area and are building in Sienna Plantation.  This decision-making process has been stressful, but I'm hoping that it will be much less stressful since we know what to expect this time.

Originally, we had decided on lot number 69, but after actually getting out of our car and listening we decided it was far too noisy for us.  The lot we ended up with (#14) is actually bigger and was less expensive, not to mention it backs up to $300,000 houses and the section of the neighborhood is much nicer than where lot 69 was at.  When we signed the contract yesterday, we also had to make our brick, stone and color scheme selections.  Once again, we changed our mind.  We were planning on doing very similar color scheme to our home in Chatham, but didn't like the red brick with the dark gray roof.  So, we are now doing a reddish-beige color scheme.  Of course, we question whether or not we made the right decision and we probably will for awhile.

Backtracking, we had a little bit of excitement here at the apartment complex last week.  It was late afternoon and I had just gotten off of the phone with my mom, when I saw flashing lights through the kitchen.  Being nosy, I stood in the kitchen watching the commotion.  I saw a firetruck, ambulance and a few police cars...a little while later I saw somebody being wheeled to the ambulance and somebody else in handcuffs.  Sigh...only in Pearland, I tell ya!

Last night we had an adventure in fish-frying, when Chad fried some of the fish that he caught on his fishing trip.  It was absolutely delicious.  Unfortunately, both of us woke up feeling sick in the middle of the night and felt crappy all day long.  Ugh.  Thankfully, Little Caesars Pizza makes everything better!

We have a lot on our plate right now, what with the house stuff but we are both very excited about it.  They project us being able to close in late November, which will mean we can celebrate Christmas in our new home!
